In recent years, more and more companies are experiencing crippling security breaches, the flood of compromised data is on the rise. It is necessary for organizations to know how to respond and deal with this challenge.
Digital Forensics is a branch of forensics science that deals with recovery and investigation of material found in digital devices, often in relation to a computer incident. Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) is the application of forensics investigation techniques for cyber security incidents, to examine them (e.g. data breach, malware attack etc), and to recover from the impact of the incident.
The DFIR team at Autobot uses digital forensics tools and techniques to identify any unusual activity on the networks, extract information from compromised systems, determine the source / cause of the problem, contain the incident, take steps to safeguard the infrastructure from spred of the attack / incident / infection, identify remediation and recovery options and assist in the same, and finally, analyze the causes and provide the knowldged to help prevent similar attacks in the future.
